Installation

Administrator Rights

  • Administrator rights are not necessary to install FormulaChop on Windows
  • They are required to install FormulaChop on Mac
  • FormulaChop is installed only for each user

To Install FormulaChop on Windows

  1. Visit our our website, and click Download Now
  2. Click the button for Windows Download
  3. Save FormulaChop-1.XX.0.msi to your computer
  4. Make sure Excel is closed
  5. Double-click FormulaChop-1.XX.0.msi
  6. Follow the prompts in the installer wizard to install FormulaChop

To Install FormulaChop on Mac

  1. Visit our our website, and click Download Now
  2. Click the button for Mac Download
  3. Save FormulaChop.pkg to your computer
  4. Make sure Excel is closed
  5. Double-click on FormulaChop.pkg
  6. Follow the prompts in the installer wizard to install FormulaChop

Running FormulaChop For the First Time

  1. Open Excel
  • If you using a Mac, you will need to enable the FormulaChop Add-In
  • Go to the Tools menu 🡺 “Excel Add-ins...”
  • Check the box next to FormulaChop

  1. Navigate to the Formulas tab in the ribbon

  2. Find the FormulaChop section on the right side of the ribbon

  3. Select New License Key from the License dropdown

  4. The License dialog box will open with a prompt for a license key (follow the link for more information)

  5. Once you have a license key, enter it in the box at the bottom and click Activate

  6. FormulaChop is now activated and ready to use!

To Update FormulaChop

  1. Follow the same steps as installing FormulaChop to update
  2. The old version of FormulaChop will be replaced with the latest

To Uninstall FormulaChop on Windows

Using FormulaChop-1.XX.0.msi

  1. Double-click on FormulaChop-1.XX.0.msi
  2. Click the Next button
  3. Click the Remove button
  4. If you are sure you want to uninstall FormulaChop, click the Remove button again
  5. FormulaChop will be uninstalled
  6. Click the Finish button

Using Add/Remove Programs

  1. Go to Windows Settings 🡺 Add or Remove Programs
  2. Locate FormulaChop in the list of installed programs
  3. Click the Uninstall button

To Uninstall FormulaChop on Mac

  1. Open a terminal window

  2. Paste in the following command:

    ~/Library/Group\ Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/FormulaChop/UninstallFormulaChop

  3. Press Return to run a script that uninstalls FormulaChop
